The Central Pennsylvania Region was founded
in 1989, and became a chartered Region of the Cadillac & LaSalle Club in
1991. Frank Pinola was the founder of the Region, and served as its
Director until his death in 2010. Richard Sills succeeded Frank as
Director of the Region.
The Central Pennsylvania Region serves the Harrisburg, Lancaster and York
metropolitan areas, as well as surrounding cities, towns and villages.
Harrisburg is the state capitol, and Lancaster is the heart of the
Pennsylvania Dutch country. The area abounds with beautiful farmland,
covered bridges, quaint little towns that look much as they did decades
ago, and rolling hills. The area includes Hershey, which is home to the
AACA Museum and the annual AACA Eastern Fall Meet. It is also home to a
remarkable number of other antique car shows and hobby-related events,
from March through October of each year. Its neighboring CLC Regions are
the Valley Forge Region to the east, the Upper Susquehanna Region to the
north, the Pittsburgh Region to the west, and the Potomac Region to the
south.
The Central Pennsylvania Region holds two signature shows each year -- a
spring dealership show in June, hosted by Kelly Cadillac in Lancaster, PA,
and a CLC Inter-Regional Meet in July at the AACA Museum, co-sponsored
with the Upper Susquehanna Region CLC. We hold monthly membership meetings
during most months from March through June, and September through
November. (Click on "meetings" for information about our upcoming
membership meetings.) We have an annual picnic in August, and a
post-holiday get-together in February to take some of the chill off
winter. The Region also participates in other local events, such as the
Make-a-Wish Foundation caravan in May, and the Neffsville Car Show in
September. We encourage our members to participate in events sponsored by
other CLC Regions, and by other antique car clubs with similar interests.
Our events are always open to prospective members, visiting CLC members
from other areas, and their friends and family members.
